Jevon Caesar

My name is Jevon Caesar and I live in Guyana as a medical missionary with my wife Natafeia. We work among the amerindian population to proclaim Jesus' soon return. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago and I have been a Seventh-day Adventist for over 25 years.

I love studying the word of God, Biblical history, creation sciences and proclaiming the truth in simplicity. I'm always up for a good laugh and healthy vegie foods. I love being in nature. I'm a Engineering Draftsman by professional occupation but a trained Medical Missionary by Divine appointment. To God be the glory.

One of my favorite text : 1 John 3:1-2

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

  • Is Morality Righteousness I

Morality and ethics stem from society's standards of right and wrong (which are always changing) and manifests itself in mere compliant behavior to what is acceptable. Those who fall out of line are punished until their behavior is modified. And obedience is generated by fear of punishment. Therefore, someone can be moral and ethical on the outside yet within the heart desperately wicked, see Matthew 23: 27-28. So one can pay their taxes and give to charity not because a selfless desire drives them, but only for a favorable tax return. One may not commit a murder, but hate runs deep in their heart. One may not fornicate or commit adultery but sexual depravity floods the thoughts. Therefore the only things that restrains them from evil actions is the fear of punishment and the lack of opportunity. And fear is never a good motivator for righteous works.

  • Is Morality Righteousness II

We have a better understanding why we need Christ's righteousness beyond mere morality and ethical behavior. Our good works do not save us nor do they make God love us more. The converse is also true. Our evil deeds do not send us to hell nor do they make God love us less. Our salvation or condemnation depends on our acceptance or rejection of Christ - nothing else (John 3:18). We must also understand that God's love for us is perfect and is not dependent on our behavior (Rom. 5:8). Our good deeds have two purposes, none of which are to merit our salvation. The first is to bring glory to God (Matt. 5:16) and the second is to determine our reward in the Kingdom of God (Rev. 22:12). Knowing this, when we do evil we dishonor God, especially when we call ourselves Christians. And our evil deeds serve to determine the length of our punishment (Rev. 20:4, 12-15). So keeping of the law doesn't bring righteousness but only measures the standard of righteousness (Gal. 3:21). The law cannot empower us to transform character it serves only to diagnose behavior. Christ is the only one who can transform us. He is law made flesh and represents it in its completeness (Rom. 10:4).

  • The Mystery of Mysteries

In eternity past before anything was created there was God. God would create through His begotten Son. Both animate and inanimate, sentient and non-sentient. His universe would operate on the fundamental principle of love. Love gives. Therefore everything in the universe would give that some other would benefit. From the subatomic to galaxies. We see this principle active (although marred by sin) throughout nature. The Water cycle, the Carbon cycle and the Nitrogen cycle are some examples in the inanimate world of giving to perpetuate. When we look at a habitat in nature we see everything is balanced to have life continue. Even we humans live symbiotic with plants and trees. They give us oxygen and we give them carbon dioxide. This is the cycle of life.
